Temperature in lower stratosphere is lesser compared to upper stratosphere. It means temperature increases as you go higher.

There are 5 layers composes the atmosphere of the earth which are troposphere, stratosphere, mesosphere, thermosphere and exosphere. The second major layer is the stratosphere which is located below the mesosphere and above the troposphere. Temperature increases from lower stratosphere to higher stratosphere because of the presence of ozone layer which absorbs the heat from the sun or solar radiation.
